We woke late (because of the evil time change) and realized an hour late (because of the evil time change) That I was running very late to meet someone for an egg/plant trade. But thankfully she was also late (because of the evil time change) and everything worked out perfectly :) She got a dozen fresh duck eggs and I got an oregano plant.
Much of the rest of the day has been spent making chocolates. I'm going to be sending a sampler package to a friend and wanted to get them done now so they have plenty of time to set up. I made Lovers Chocolate, Raisins in Chocolate, Almond Chocolate Flowers, Peppermint Chocolate Flowers, Almond Bark, Dipped Jasmine Flowers and Chocolate Covered Almonds.
Mint Tulips, Almond Flower, Love Chocolate Bar & hand dipped Jasmine buds.
The little white thing is an un-dipped Jasmine.
I love making chocolates. I have sold them but I don't have enough room to make enough to sell. Someday maybe :)
I also got a tea order out and am finishing up two last paintings and started another for another customer.
I had intended to make soaps last week but never got to it. I do make every thing work most of the time but lately finding room is getting more difficult.
I've always been torn between living in a tiny cabin so far out that no one could find me, and having a big house nearer to town where I could still have a large garden but open a little shop for herbals and art and whatever else, right in the front of the house.

Eggs and chocolate! It does sound like spring. I am like you--i sometimes think I would love to have a house on the edge of town with a big, big yard for gardening. But I value my sanctuary here in deep country and I know I would miss it deeply. So here I stay.
your resourcefulness and entrepreneurial spirit always make me smile.
