Wild Moon Cottage is a small working homestead in the pristine Ozark Mountains. We have dairy goats, poultry, organic herb and vegetable gardens, a start of a tiny fruit orchard, several black walnut trees, wild berries and fields of wildcrafting goodness. We raise our own milk, our own eggs, much of our own medicine and food. I do laundry by hand, make my own vinegar, candles, soap, bread, cheese ........ For a living I am an artist and herbalist. My goal for myself and our homestead is to be as self sufficient and self sustaining as possible.

9.11.08 a Slow Start

Morning chores are done and everyone is quietly becoming part of the day.

100 pounds of wolf and shepherd lay peacefully at my feet. She's a lamb in wolfs clothing :)

I don't know why but I've had another disturbing dream. I'll keep this one to myself but I wonder what is afoot.

It's supposed to storm for the next 3 or 4 days so I plan to get some sewing, painting, baking and reading done.

I have two tea orders to get out and I need to take inventory of the herbs today and see what needs to be restocked. I have a ton of lemon balm dry and some sage to take down and rub. I'll need to order a few things, jasmine, ginseng, gingko. I also need to cut some rosemary, patchouli, peppermint and thyme to dry before it rains.

I'll be making a couple of small loaves of bread later, one regular and one cinnamon.

Yesterday we ended up having beef and pasta for dinner so today we'll have dirty rice with green beans and cornbread.

For now I had better get out and get those herbs cut.

Peaceful, gentle day (((((((((((everyone)))))))))))))))

I hope that what ever it is that are stirring up these dreams will soon pass or reveal itself to you more clearly. I seldom dream, but when I do it is usually of things that are to come.

Many blessings to you and Nik.

I seemed to have stopped dreaming though I wake up worried for some reason. Maybe I am just not remembering dreaming. Its nice and cool here today so am enjoying catching up things around here. Have a merry one!
