Wild Moon Cottage is a small working homestead in the pristine Ozark Mountains. We have dairy goats, poultry, organic herb and vegetable gardens, a start of a tiny fruit orchard, several black walnut trees, wild berries and fields of wildcrafting goodness. We raise our own milk, our own eggs, much of our own medicine and food. I do laundry by hand, make my own vinegar, candles, soap, bread, cheese ........ For a living I am an artist and herbalist. My goal for myself and our homestead is to be as self sufficient and self sustaining as possible.

Church

You're invited to attend.

I'm actually a very devout person, I attend church everyday without fail. I've been attending the same church all my life. It's a beautiful church filled with grace, grand but humble.

My church is simple but the decorations are elaborate. Most mornings, the East wall shines like new spun gold. In the evenings, the West wall often glows like fire. The rest of the time, and the other two walls, are generally the colors of jewels, amber, garnet, emerald, peridot .... Rain or shine, the windows are always open.

If you look at the ceiling in my church you'll see that it has the most amazing mural. Sometimes it looks bright blue or blue and white but, sometimes it looks very gray. At night it often appears like indigo satin strewn with sparkling diamonds.

The floor is carpeted with lush greens, damp browns, smooth grays. But the church is very ancient and the floor can be very uneven in spots. Don't worry tho, if you stumble we'll all rush over to give you a hand and help you find your balance. That's what we do in my church.

In my church, there is no pulpit. No one person ever raised above another. No one person which God has deemed more worthy than another to hear his voice. No one singled out to hear The Mother's call more clearly than another. In my church we each commune with God and each share his goodness thru act and deed. We each one are as much a part of The Mother as the next, each as valued and honored.

My church is a holy and sacred place, filled with the power of God and the nurturing of The Mother. That's why it's so important in my church to come as you are, every person welcome no matter style or culture or beliefs. Whether you walk, crawl, scamper or fly, you're invited to attend.
