The fog this morning was amazing. I so love the fog and mist. It's still hanging in the forest below our house, draped like a silken shawl over the tiny valley below. Where out secret blackberry patch is :)

There's also a little wet weather creek down there and this year it's had water in it more often then not. We're blessed to have little springs here and there thru-out the Ozarks and sometimes, out of nowhere, a little spring will break thru. That may have happen down in the forest, with all the rain we had a while back if could have freed a little spring which now feeds the little creek. I don't know but it's a lovely thought :)

On the egg thing, I truly am grateful for the eggs no matter the color !!! And, altho it may seem like we've never had chickens before the way I carry on so, we've actually had chickens for years. Just never some of these kinds of chickens and only one duck who laid very large eggs with slick shells that looked nothing like these. These eggs look like large white hen eggs that you buy at the store. Add to that my strange want to know who lays what and there you have it *~*

Today should be beautiful! It's to get up into the mid 60's and I'm hoping to get several things done.

We do also have to run into town today, but it shouldn't take to long. I'm taking some clothing to an upscale second hand shop in town to see if they want to buy any. I used to sell them online and used to make pretty good money from it but postage kept going up and ebay and paypal (now owned by ebay) raised the fees so high it became hard to make a profit.

Later, we're going to try and move the old henhouse. I hope we can. It's not big and it used to be moveable but it's been sitting in the same spot for several years and has settled into the ground. I would like to take it out completely and build a separate pen for the cats but I don't think we'll be able to get it out of the pen without taking part of the pen down, which I don't want to do this year.

So the plan is to move the old henhouse to a corner in the chicken pen and run fencing down for a cat run. It won't be as big as I want for the cats and it will make the chicken pen smaller but everyone will be safe and warm at night till next summer when I can get more done.

I fear with having to basically rebuild the new henhouse next summer I won't be able to get to the greenhouse. And I would love to have all those old windows Phill !! Someday ...

Todays menu is .... Cinnamon toast for breakfast. Spaghetti with peas and cheesy garlic bread for lunch. Biscuits n pepper gravy for supper. Mini apple cobblers and hot tea for dessert.
