Wild Moon Cottage is a small working homestead in the pristine Ozark Mountains. We have dairy goats, poultry, organic herb and vegetable gardens, a start of a tiny fruit orchard, several black walnut trees, wild berries and fields of wildcrafting goodness. We raise our own milk, our own eggs, much of our own medicine and food. I do laundry by hand, make my own vinegar, candles, soap, bread, cheese ........ For a living I am an artist and herbalist. My goal for myself and our homestead is to be as self sufficient and self sustaining as possible.

well, i can't understand what it says, but by visiting her blog i found out that it was awarded to her for "not only being a Wonderful Mom to my children, but to all people, as well as animals," so i assume she's passing it on to you for those same reasons.

it's well deserved! :-)

I am thinking that you were in the line of the storm that effected so many. I hope that you and Nik have been safe and staying warm. Our electric was out for 3 days, but we were so much fortunate than most because we had the wood stovefor heat and cooking and the well to draw water from. I am holding the two of you in my heart and my prayers that you are safe.
