It's very bright and sunny, and cold. It looks like it should be 60 outside but the thermometer on the porch says 30. Usually when it's this cold there's a crispness I can see in the sun, it's sunny but still looks cold. Not today tho, today is tricksy.
I had leg cramps off and on all night again. Not as painful but a lot more of them. It may be the vitamins I'm taking. I recently switched from regular to Women's and they may have to much calcium. If I remember correctly, that's what they thought caused it when I was little. Later I'll get out the telescope and try to read the bottle.
I've also had an odd dream last night. Shockingly, it revealed one of my great fears ! In the dream we found 4 lost and abandoned kittens *~* The first thing I did on rising was make prayers and juju that it was just a dream !!
I truly believe that not one more baby should be born until every child on Earth, 2 legged and 4 legged, has a permanent home. Tho I still love every baby born regardless :)
We don't have to much to do today, delivering eggs is the biggest thing. With selling 6 of the hens I was worried we wouldn't have enough to for all our regular customers but we still have plenty. Enough that I've been trying to find a local food bank or similar that we could give some each month. Sadly Ozark doesn't seem to have anything like that, that I can find. I'll keep looking tho and I did hear about one in Nixa, which isn't to far.
When I lived in Springfield, on my Grandfathers property (he had 20 acres still zoned for farming), I always had enough from my garden to take to The Pantry or The Kitchen. Both are still there I believe. Even just a small basket of tomatoes made people smile, I felt like I had gathered a basket of rubies :)
Yesterday we had meatloaf, mashed potatoes with chive butter, and greenbeans . Fresh rye bread with honeybutter and hot tea for dessert.
Today's menu is ... carrot cake for breakfast. Maybe fast food for lunch. Shepherd pie made from yesterdays leftovers for supper.
Apollo is healing up wonderfully and the little boys ( Oded and Wicket ) are completely back to their racing, popping, wrestling selves.
I'm so thankful to have been able to get these guys done but I so wish i could get more. It's a terrible thing that it's so expensive and even worse when you know how much it really costs. I wish I didn't know at all. The pain shot they offer for 15.00 costs .30 cents (medicine, syringe and needle ) and takes about 3 minutes of work.
We do have a program, SNAP, but they're very hard to deal with. I called 14 times in 4 years and finally got a return call last year saying I could call back and leave a message. It's not just them tho, because you can only leave a message and wait for them to call and I'm so hard to reach, it just never worked out. I do intend to try again this year, if I recall, they offer certificates for half off. There used to be a national organization that offered similar help, Friends of Animals, but I don't think they're around anymore.

Ha, ha, Juli, that's so funny about getting the telescope out to try and read the bottle. I've had to get the magnifying glass out to read the stuff on some of these bottles. I have to agree with you about no more babies until all have a permanent home. Wouldn't that be wonderful, all creatures having food and shelter. Happy to hear that your boys are doing well.
