Today has been beautiful ! I love the rain and storms but it's so nice to have sun and blue sky as well :)

Yesterday morning we had some severe storms. People to the north and west of us are still without power.

We had some limbs down, at least one was about 12 inches across, but I'm sure it was already weakened. The Lilac bush, which didn't bloom this year, split and we've lost a huge piece of it :( When we moved here 9 or so years ago, it was a scraggly, scrawny thing. But after years of love, coffee grinds and egg shells it's quadrupled in size.

Yesterday, during the storms, we lost power for exactly 2 hours, the wind blew so hard we could feel the pressure in the house and we live in an earthberm. Then it got very still, for about 20 minutes nothing moved or breathed. I expected to hear the train sound but then the wind returned and the rain begin to pour.

And the 2 hours was exactly 2 hours. Later in the day when i checked the time on the computer (which is what our one main clock is always set by) the computer said 4:06, the main clock said 2:06.

We had some things finally catch up this week.

The Crow truck was down for 2 weeks but it now fixed and running fine :)

I've had back orders of Flu and Resurrection Teas for 2 weeks, first waiting on Bee Pollen then waiting on Pau d'Arco, but everything has arrived and I can finish filling orders. Everyone has been so kind and patient about having to wait, I'm send them a package of Green Fairy as well :)

And, the people finally came out and marked the lines so we can expand the garden. I had called and filed the thing in march but they had no record so I may have not done it correctly. It's done now tho and we have several little orange flags to prove it.

I was hoping to hear back from the Oregon Gallery that I've do a lot of business with but nada. I submitted 5 paintings this year and was hoping at least 2 would be accepted. In the past I've submitted 3 a year and 2 were always accepted. But I haven't heard back and their deadline to send them for the Summer shows is June.

Todays main meal is tuna salad sandwiches on home bread with homemade macaroni salad. Evening dessert (which we eat as a meal in the evening) is unfrosted lemon cake and hot vanilla tea.
