Wild Moon Cottage is a small working homestead in the pristine Ozark Mountains. We have dairy goats, poultry, organic herb and vegetable gardens, a start of a tiny fruit orchard, several black walnut trees, wild berries and fields of wildcrafting goodness. We raise our own milk, our own eggs, much of our own medicine and food. I do laundry by hand, make my own vinegar, candles, soap, bread, cheese ........ For a living I am an artist and herbalist. My goal for myself and our homestead is to be as self sufficient and self sustaining as possible.

Some nights the flireflies outnumbered the stars.

This coming week I will not be watching the fireflies -- weather prediction of 100 degrees daily. It will make me miss the cool dark hollows of the Arkansas Ozarks more than ever. I can see the last of the Ozarks here in OK, but I can't feel them.

Wonderful!! I love it. It's hotter than blue blazes here in the southern Oarks.

Great minds ... well, you know what they say. I;ve been going out to watch the fireflies every night. Beautiful painting. And good to be here. Country life is sure different than the city ... not enough time for anything - not on the forum as much as I would like, not visiting blogs as much as I would like. Glad you're well and painting!!
