Wild Moon Cottage is a small working homestead in the pristine Ozark Mountains. We have dairy goats, poultry, organic herb and vegetable gardens, a start of a tiny fruit orchard, several black walnut trees, wild berries and fields of wildcrafting goodness. We raise our own milk, our own eggs, much of our own medicine and food. I do laundry by hand, make my own vinegar, candles, soap, bread, cheese ........ For a living I am an artist and herbalist. My goal for myself and our homestead is to be as self sufficient and self sustaining as possible.

5.8.10 Morning Coffee :)

Today is the first day in ages that I've had coffee before chores. I usually have to feed and clean Kirin before I do anything else. But for the last few days Kirin has been learning to eat wet food on his own and yesterday he graduated to being able to eat alone and! using a litter box !!!! :) :) :)

So, a wonderful cup of coffee before morning chores, it was almost as good as catching the Yule Fairy lighting the tree.

It's been pretty chilly this morning. 45 when we got up and around 48 now. The goats are in the big pen munching to good green stuff and you'll find me in the garden!
