Wild Moon Cottage is a small working homestead in the pristine Ozark Mountains. We have dairy goats, poultry, organic herb and vegetable gardens, a start of a tiny fruit orchard, several black walnut trees, wild berries and fields of wildcrafting goodness. We raise our own milk, our own eggs, much of our own medicine and food. I do laundry by hand, make my own vinegar, candles, soap, bread, cheese ........ For a living I am an artist and herbalist. My goal for myself and our homestead is to be as self sufficient and self sustaining as possible.

Corndogs

Today I will be trying to make homemade corndogs. I'm using the recipe and directions from hillbilly housewife but I don't have a deep fryer so I'm going to just try a deep skillet or pot. I have a deep iron skillet for frying but it may not be deep enough so I may use the big pasta pot. It's heavy and should do ok.

One of these days i would like to get one of those very deep iron chicken fryer skillets.

I'm also not using sticks because I have none. We'll just use forks or chop sticks or hands, when they're done :)
