Wild Moon Cottage is a small working homestead in the pristine Ozark Mountains. We have dairy goats, poultry, organic herb and vegetable gardens, a start of a tiny fruit orchard, several black walnut trees, wild berries and fields of wildcrafting goodness. We raise our own milk, our own eggs, much of our own medicine and food. I do laundry by hand, make my own vinegar, candles, soap, bread, cheese ........ For a living I am an artist and herbalist. My goal for myself and our homestead is to be as self sufficient and self sustaining as possible.

6.12.08 evening

It was a beautiful day today. Very humid, like the tropics, tho if I were in the tropics I'm quite sure I would say it was much more humid there :)

The friend brought the things I bought from the woman in Nixa. Very nice things, I'm very thankful! A small pantry cabinet with 4 shelves, for storing canned goods and the like. A smallish wooden bench with padded seat that I intend to paint, recover and sell. And a large canning pot with rack to hold 6 quart or 12 pints. Much needed and very appreciated!

Other than the usual, dishes and such, I didn't get much else done this evening. I may start another painting before bed, i'm not sure.

have a wonderful night everyone :)
