Wild Moon Cottage is a small working homestead in the pristine Ozark Mountains. We have dairy goats, poultry, organic herb and vegetable gardens, a start of a tiny fruit orchard, several black walnut trees, wild berries and fields of wildcrafting goodness. We raise our own milk, our own eggs, much of our own medicine and food. I do laundry by hand, make my own vinegar, candles, soap, bread, cheese ........ For a living I am an artist and herbalist. My goal for myself and our homestead is to be as self sufficient and self sustaining as possible.

I so often feel giddy about our life here. Of course I wish we had a little more room, a little more money, sometimes even a mate. But most of the time all I can feel is joy at what we do have. At what we're able to do and how we're able to live and enjoy life. I often get that feeling just like when I was little and it was close to Christmas. And excitement at what is and what is yet to come. I can't really explain it but I do so love it.
