Wild Moon Cottage is a small working homestead in the pristine Ozark Mountains. We have dairy goats, poultry, organic herb and vegetable gardens, a start of a tiny fruit orchard, several black walnut trees, wild berries and fields of wildcrafting goodness. We raise our own milk, our own eggs, much of our own medicine and food. I do laundry by hand, make my own vinegar, candles, soap, bread, cheese ........ For a living I am an artist and herbalist. My goal for myself and our homestead is to be as self sufficient and self sustaining as possible.

Blueberry oatmeal cookies and iced cappuccino for breakfast.

Some laundry this morning, 3 loads will be ready to hang out by sun-up, if it doesn't rain. If it does rain I'll dry the jeans in the dryer and hang the rest inside. I've been looking for 2, 20-foot cordomatic retractable clotheslines for some time now but they go fast when they're available. I think the RV people and camping people use them a lot.

Yesterday looked like rain much of the day but we didn't get any until after we went to bed. I don't know how much because the rain gauge got knocked down by cat people, it doesn't look like much tho it is still dark and hard to tell.

Today the plan is to run into town to the market and just a few regular chores around. It's to be much cooler today and we're just going to enjoy it.

I got Jericho season 2 disc 1 from netflix yesterday so later we'll veg out a bit and watch an episode or two and pig out on something from the deli :)

Don't you love NetFlix? I adore it. I see all my favorite TV shows and movies (mostly old ones) without paying for cable! I'm currently plowing through "Brideshead Revisited."
