Wild Moon Cottage is a small working homestead in the pristine Ozark Mountains. We have dairy goats, poultry, organic herb and vegetable gardens, a start of a tiny fruit orchard, several black walnut trees, wild berries and fields of wildcrafting goodness. We raise our own milk, our own eggs, much of our own medicine and food. I do laundry by hand, make my own vinegar, candles, soap, bread, cheese ........ For a living I am an artist and herbalist. My goal for myself and our homestead is to be as self sufficient and self sustaining as possible.

Awesome! That color really does look very nice. Nice color with the land and trees and all. It's very pretty!

If we had built instead of buying a house already built we wanted a house pretty much like yours. By having it burrowed does it keep a pretty even temperature all year round?

I smiled when I read what you wrote about how many times Nik has had a sitter in his life. I was that way with my children too. I feel sorry for the families where both parents feel the need to work. They don't know what they are missing.

Stop by soon Juli... I have an award for you.

Hi there, I found you through Jo's blog. You seem very much like myself. I grow perennial herbs and flowers organically and have chickens that have full run of the property. They are pets to us and live a long, happy life. Love the picture of your chickens.
