Wild Moon Cottage is a small working homestead in the pristine Ozark Mountains. We have dairy goats, poultry, organic herb and vegetable gardens, a start of a tiny fruit orchard, several black walnut trees, wild berries and fields of wildcrafting goodness. We raise our own milk, our own eggs, much of our own medicine and food. I do laundry by hand, make my own vinegar, candles, soap, bread, cheese ........ For a living I am an artist and herbalist. My goal for myself and our homestead is to be as self sufficient and self sustaining as possible.

9.1.08 Merry September !

I think today will be a very good day :)

It's to be a little hot but plenty of sun to get some work done. When the sun is up and bright I have some jewelry to photograph and get listed.

Beautiful Sheri brought me some most excellent beads which I added to what I have and together they make a great treasure of color and energy and texture. I've been beading a lot lately :) It's calm and meditative. So far I've made several Gypsy Vanner bracelets, jasper, malachite and mixed stone necklaces, hippie bead earrings and bracelet, a couple of shell Mermaid bracelets and a few other things :)

We may also work on the new henhouse and get started on the cat monastery.

There's so much to do but it gets done a bit at a time.

The guy with the lovely metal gazebo thing has lowered the price and payments to a very fair amount, I still can't do it but if sales pick up for the seasons then maybe :) If I could use it as a temporary greenhouse then I think it would be able to pay for itself over one winter. If I could keep some main herbs growing and usable thru the winter that alone would be a great deal. Sage is the ingredient in my number one tea and having to buy it would be costly. I do dry plenty but it goes fast and I don't have a lot of room for drying and storing.

Anyway, I must get some laundry done to be hung out when the sun rises. Merry day everyone :)

I am hoping that the man with the gazebo will eventually lower the price of it enough that you can afford it. I don't know why he doesn't just ask you what you can afford and go with that. He knows you are interested init and are the one that is meant to have it.

What a blessing Luna has been for you and you for her. She certainly lived a long life.

Merry September to you as well. I know what you mean by there's so much to do, but it gets done eventually. I had a look at your jewelry, very nice. I just love your juju dolls.
