Wild Moon Cottage is a small working homestead in the pristine Ozark Mountains. We have dairy goats, poultry, organic herb and vegetable gardens, a start of a tiny fruit orchard, several black walnut trees, wild berries and fields of wildcrafting goodness. We raise our own milk, our own eggs, much of our own medicine and food. I do laundry by hand, make my own vinegar, candles, soap, bread, cheese ........ For a living I am an artist and herbalist. My goal for myself and our homestead is to be as self sufficient and self sustaining as possible.

9.21.08 Better & Better

A very good day :)

I feel better then I have in a week! Wendy got a wonderful home today. And we had another egg, outside the henhouse on the ground, but still :)

I cannot say I was diagnosed with anything. It's believed I have an infection of the stomach lining because of an ulcer, which in turn caused an enlarged spleen. I was so thankful it wasn't ruptured I barely heard anything else.

For the infection I'm taking 410 Mgs of powdered Echinacea 3 to 4 times a day.
For the enlarged spleen and to help regenerate any tissue damage to the spleen or liver, I'm taking 8oz of strong Milk Thistle concoction a day.
To heal the ulcer and stomach lining I'm drinking 8 ounces of Aloe twice a day
And, to reduce any abnormalities such as fibroid tumors I'm taking about 2 CCs of Thuja tincture with water once a day.

Today has been mostly catching up on things that fell asied last week. Dishes piled high, evil un-vacuumed carpet, a small mountain of laundry....

Nik did a wonderful job keeping up with the creatures, doing all his regular chores and being very kind. He is truly one of the greatest people I have ever known. At the very top with my Grandfather and Karen.

Namaste ((((((((((((everyone)))))))))))))

Wow, you must have been feeling pretty rough with that going on in your body. Hope it all clears up fast. So happy to hear that you found a home for Wendy.
