The sky is a lovely pale pink this morning, it reminds me of a morning sky rising cross the sea. We just got back in from morning chores, feeding animals, hanging laundry to dry quickly on this wonderfully windy day and putting out the egg sign.

Last night was a bit sad. Our neighbor called to say one of her daughters had found one of the wild kits, Milo, very sick and had brought it to their house. When we arrived his spirit had already left his shell. The girls had taken great care to lay him on a soft bed of leaves and cover him with a cloth. He was blessed to be so cared for and loved in that time.

I carried him back, they just live behind us a bit, and we buried his shell in the Spirit Garden, next to Luna's. There are way to many cats in the world and yet, each person deserves the chance and none of us should have to suffer. Farewell little fur brother.

Today we have some yard and garden work. Finish tilling the garden in and pile on the leaves. Blow some leaves here and there and vacuum up some others for tighter mulch.

The forest is almost completely bare now. Lovely winter trees, some with grape vines draping down like ropes holding them to the Earth.

For breakfast we had english muffins with strawberry preserves and coffee or milk. For dinner w're having spaghetti and garlic buttered bread and peas. For supper we'll have baked corndogs. And for dessert, fresh homemade cinnamon rolls and hot tea.
