Merry morning !

I'm just back in from morning chores and it is chilly outside ! I had to dip my hand in the pond for a sec and it felt like it was going to freeze off *o* I love it ! Digging out gloves and making sure there's a pair in the pocket of each coat or jacket with an extra two pairs in the Crow truck.

The windows inside are all steamed up just from whatever heat is left from making breakfast earlier and Oscar (the small electric heater) that we use when we shower or bathe in winter.

For breakfast we had ham, egg and cheese english muffins again with coffee and juice. Lunch is undecided. Supper will be biscuits n gravy with oven potatoes. Dessert will be chocolate cake and hot tea.

We've had bananas and apples for fruit this week and if apples are still on sale we'll have more next week. I'm hoping to get enough to dry some and can some apple sauce.

I'm not sure what all we'll get done today, I have a tea order to fill and some people coming by for eggs. Work on my work table is slow, I think I need an art studio the size of our whole house *o* but things always find a way of fitting and working in just the right spots :) and we'll be bringing more wood to the porch and I want the last two rows in the vegetable garden tilled again. Then covered with leaves and left till Spring.

I'm already making plans for next years garden :) One of the many great pleasures of winter is having more time to daydream and plan for what's to come.

I still haven't gotten a prybar and still can't get that bloody board off *o* How in the world is it that it won't come off when I'm the one that put it on. It's just nailed on but it seems like it's super glued and then concreted and then screwed and then spiked on.

The Henhouse did get a good test the other night when it stormed and even in it's Franken state it held up wonderfully and a suprisingly little amount of water got in.

Which reminds me that we'll also be caulking windows today and I got some weather stripping last spring on clearance sale and had forgotten about it till I came across it the other day. So we'll be scraping off the dilapidated bits of old weatherstripping and adding new to the small windows. Even without the Burrow is so easy to heat and cool. I sometimes feel guilty that others struggle so much and we're so very blessed.

And now I must be off, cats to pet and cakes to bake. Blessed day all !
