Wild Moon Cottage is a small working homestead in the pristine Ozark Mountains. We have dairy goats, poultry, organic herb and vegetable gardens, a start of a tiny fruit orchard, several black walnut trees, wild berries and fields of wildcrafting goodness. We raise our own milk, our own eggs, much of our own medicine and food. I do laundry by hand, make my own vinegar, candles, soap, bread, cheese ........ For a living I am an artist and herbalist. My goal for myself and our homestead is to be as self sufficient and self sustaining as possible.

~ There Is No Spoon ~

~ There is no spoon ~

Swishing, wishing, upon a star.
Way up there, so very far.
What you dream of in the night,
wish for on that star so bright.
Dreams may come, now bend your mind.
Mysteries wait, what secrets find.

Twinkle, wrinkle, time may tell.
Each day cast a shinning spell.
Fellows join, each in hand,
singing songs, enchanted band.
Swelling tides, imagined space.
Flitting round but keeping pace.

Sleeping, steeping, what's your game?
It matters not, we're all the same.
Wish I may, wish you might,
reach the dream, it's there in sight.
Laughter bring now peace to all.
Because that star will never fall.

Oh juli, where are you? It's been a long week without your posts. This last one was lyrical.
