Wild Moon Cottage is a small working homestead in the pristine Ozark Mountains. We have dairy goats, poultry, organic herb and vegetable gardens, a start of a tiny fruit orchard, several black walnut trees, wild berries and fields of wildcrafting goodness. We raise our own milk, our own eggs, much of our own medicine and food. I do laundry by hand, make my own vinegar, candles, soap, bread, cheese ........ For a living I am an artist and herbalist. My goal for myself and our homestead is to be as self sufficient and self sustaining as possible.

What an interesting night. Last evening I met a very nice and handsome man. I meet very nice people often but this man was honeyman nice :) He helped me buy fish and I wanted to buy tons of fish so he could keep helping me. I must have been smiling like a cheshire cat the whole time because later I realized my cheeks hurt. I also think I spit on his hand. *~* I couldn't think and just kept saying the same thing over again, which I do when I don't know what to say or get nervous. I just kept telling him that we like Tilapia and that I don't know much about fish. I imagine that by the time he was done with me he was sure I needed therapy. I'm not very good with people as it is and when it comes to honeyman people I outshine myself.

Ah well, it was kind of nice to have my heart beat a little faster and my cheeks a little more flushed. It's been a long time since anyone had that effect on me, or at least since I allowed myself to feel it. I've been single for close to 10 years now and generally don't even consider dating or having a mate. I never felt like it was a safe or fair thing to do to Nik. I've never had good luck with men in those sorts of relationships.

Well, maybe it's time to add a lot more fish to our diet :)

Every woman deserve a little giddy face flush. It helps to remind us we are sensual beings.

Smile. It's so nice to remember sometimes there are ways to get your heart rate up that don't involve escaped animals or garden tools.

Fish is good for you, I hear--especially if it puts a blush on your cheeks and a smile on your face.
