Wild Moon Cottage is a small working homestead in the pristine Ozark Mountains. We have dairy goats, poultry, organic herb and vegetable gardens, a start of a tiny fruit orchard, several black walnut trees, wild berries and fields of wildcrafting goodness. We raise our own milk, our own eggs, much of our own medicine and food. I do laundry by hand, make my own vinegar, candles, soap, bread, cheese ........ For a living I am an artist and herbalist. My goal for myself and our homestead is to be as self sufficient and self sustaining as possible.

7.22.12 Piglets :)

When we went out to feed this morning we found 8 new baby piglets. 4 black and 4 white with spots. So far at least 4 females and 2 males. We are soooo not pig people but those little piglings make me want to be a pig people.

There's a lot of life and wik going on here. We have baby pigs, young goatlets, little chick pullets, baby buns, kittens ... new life everywhere. Now, if it would just rain.

I'll be posting pictures soon.
