Wild Moon Cottage is a small working homestead in the pristine Ozark Mountains. We have dairy goats, poultry, organic herb and vegetable gardens, a start of a tiny fruit orchard, several black walnut trees, wild berries and fields of wildcrafting goodness. We raise our own milk, our own eggs, much of our own medicine and food. I do laundry by hand, make my own vinegar, candles, soap, bread, cheese ........ For a living I am an artist and herbalist. My goal for myself and our homestead is to be as self sufficient and self sustaining as possible.

8.8.8 *o*

Iced coffee and peanutbutter on crackers for 1st breakfast. Nik's trying to talk me into pizza and an episode of Jericho for 2nd breakfast. I haven't decided yet.

We have plenty to do today, paint the last side of the house and lots of touch ups in the back, it's very hard to do because it's so low and you have to go along hunched over to get under the eave.

No word yet on the gazebo thing, I'm waiting to see how much he will take in payments. I feel like I'll get it but those kinds of feelings haven't been right lately, Or at least I haven't been understanding them correctly.

We got all the corn I think we're going to get from the garden yesterday. There wasn't much, maybe 10 or 12 ears total. But they're wonderful and we're thankful for them.

The green beans are done, not very many but so good fresh and I have some dried for the winter. I really must get a pressure cooker!

I have huge plans for next years garden, I always do :) hopefully twice the size of this years and with more care in the beginning it will be so much better thru the season. I get easily sidetracked and didn't put down enough newspapers down for weed cloth so the garden is about half grass half veggies now *~*

Off to finish a little painting, Dandelion Lover :)

Merry Morning !

Good Morning Juli and Nik,
Sounds as if the two of have been very busy.

How sad that someone would feel the need to steal your gardening bucket. I don't understand people that take what is not theirs. I don't see how they could enjoy having it when it was gotten dishonestly.

Oh Juli the gazebo sounds wonderful and it also sounds as if it should be sitting in your yard. I am sending lots of positive energy your way that the man says it is yours and make payment arrangements that you can handle.

Have a blessed day.
