Wild Moon Cottage is a small working homestead in the pristine Ozark Mountains. We have dairy goats, poultry, organic herb and vegetable gardens, a start of a tiny fruit orchard, several black walnut trees, wild berries and fields of wildcrafting goodness. We raise our own milk, our own eggs, much of our own medicine and food. I do laundry by hand, make my own vinegar, candles, soap, bread, cheese ........ For a living I am an artist and herbalist. My goal for myself and our homestead is to be as self sufficient and self sustaining as possible.

The Helicopter

I meant to post this yesterday ...

Friday, 9.5.08, a small black helicopter was flying around where we live out in the boonies. It flew right over our house twice and both times was so low it vibrated the windows and we could see the guys inside. It also seemed to make an odd sound and it seemed to be flying erratically. I was worried that it was some kind of trouble so I called the Ozark police, who said they were searching for a pot field but, that I should call the Highway Patrol. I did and Highway Patrol said a man and woman had gotten into a fight and the woman was missing. I said we could help look for her but he said we should to stay inside.

Eventually the helicopter went away and nothing else ever happened but it was strange *~*
